Wondering if anyone converted the trottle to a lever style(brake lever style). I have a 18hp vanguard and just wondering how to set the carb up to get it to close up when releasing the throttle. Right now it has a pull type lever to whereever you stop the pull thats where the throttle will stay. |

There not a place you can put a spring that will pull the cable back when you let go of it? |

There may be, i was mainly looking to see if anyone has done it before so i wont have to guess with spring size/tension or if someone sold a bolt on kit more or less. |

first off loosen the Nut that holds the lever that you mentioned on its pivot pin. This will probably solve your spring problems. A bike brake lever and cable and housing shouldn't cost more than $20.00 or so. Mark F. Cheney |
