Well finally got my motor the other day. It was damaged in shipment lucky it was just plastic on motor i immediately called Jake sent him a pic and part is in route. We put motor on a 20x60 alumaweld this is a big heavy boat. I was afraid it was to much boat however I was wrong. I need to adjust cav plate kept wanting to come out of water but we worked on the duck blind had all the brush i could get in boat and 6 people sitting on top and still got on plane at half throttle. I am well pleased with this set up it is a big boat but it drafts in less water than most gonna go back out this weekend and try to get everything adjusted and see what it will do. Arlon at backwater said 18 to 21 with 2 people i believe it will get there we will see this weekend. |

From the dimensions, sounds like a party barge and not a duck boat! ![]() |

Put a 35LT on a 1760 with pods and get 20-22 with 2 people it's plenty to hang on to but I like it good luck and use that kill switch |

21 mph with my son 270 and me 205 got 20 in the grass all in about 4 ft of water. I never would have thought it would have done it. While my son was driving I could walk to the front or back of the boat it made no difference. I always new I kept that big boat for a reason. |

The 37 EFI is the new kid on the block. Logic tells me this "carb-less" model should avoid ethanol/gumming problems experienced by carbed motors. I suppose stabil or seafoam should still be used in EFI motors? Is the EFI module easily replaced? Probably a good idea to have a backup unit to swap out. I haven't seen a schematic or drawing- are there additional fuses or breakers? Someone hinted at possible issues with electrical surges. Will carb-fitted motors become obsolete? ![]() |
