 26.5 Backwaters SS
I have my 26.5 Backwaters SS on the back of a 1542 Crestliner all welded modified v right now. Thinking of getting a 1648 Alweld. Anyone run or seen this combination. I would like to know a little more about speed and draft. Any help appreciated. Any concerns with it also would be great. Thanks in advance! Mitch

 Re: 26.5 Backwaters SS
I run a 1648 weldbilt 22hp longtail. Works good. Alwelds have a better reputation than weldbilt but I like it. Been a good boat so far
It's simple. get a mud motor. shoot ducks in the face.

 Re: 26.5 Backwaters SS
I run the same 27 swomp on a 1648 weld built mine drafts very little water and sits like it should. I run my tank upfront and battery in rear seems work good on the balance especially with a passenger. I got 18- 20 with a 2 man hunt load in deep water. For a "long tail" I don't think it performs too bad, Fyi my boat is .80 gauge and all open
