Going to buy this boat tomorrow , found it on Craigslist for 400$ with out the motor, I'm also building a 13hp longtail, what kind of speed should I expect ?

What size is it? How much do you weigh? How much does it weigh? What prop you using? How many rpms you turning? And on and on....

Too many variables, dude. Your guess is as accurate as any answers you'd get with the info you provided.

Ultimately, you're putting putting a 13hp Longtail on it. If it planes out, you should be tickled. If not, will it get you where you need to go? That's the only question that should matter

Boats 14' I am 220, not sure what size prop I'm going to use or how much the boat weighs I was just curious if the guys who have ran mud motors before had any guess on speed

Anywhere from 7mph to 17. Could get lucky and get a hair more out of it

I had a 12 on a 1442 and did about 12 with 1 person and slow as fuk with anything more that that. Build a sd for it!!

my 13 hp on a 14x42 would plane and run about 14 if I remember correctly.

It would plane a second guy but when you started adding gear it fell off fast.
