I am thinking about purchasing the 22hp predator long tail from advantagemudmotors.com because they go for a good price but having second thoughts because I noticed they are not built with a cavitation Plate, I have never ran a long tail without one and I feel like with out it, it will be difficult to keep the prop In the water even in open water, would anyone agree? |

A properly designed cavitation plate takes ALL of the work out of driving a long tail. Properly dialed in, driveing one is easy. Not properly desibned or missing, driving oe is difficult to say the least. Good luck! Mark F. Cheney |

I called the guys at Advantage and tried to talk to them. Very poor response, and seemed very disinterested in selling their own product. Through e-mailed questions, I kept getting the "that information is on our website" response - although what I wanted to know was not on their website. Look at my review on my 22 predator with a Backwater kit. Its in the same range as Advantage, and I'm real happy with it so far. I don't see any problems coming from the frame itself. I think the Predator will be the link spot. |
