From their website

Using a tough multi-core steel flexible shaft, a Twister Kit's tail is half the length of a conventional longtail engine, and the prop is perfectly aligned at 90 degrees to the boat, giving more thrust and keeping the boat in perfect trim.

I feel like that's a toilet snake with a lawn mower motor on one end and a prop on the crap rooting end

It's simple. get a mud motor. shoot ducks in the face.

So would this be legal in biloxi marsh? It's a longtail/surface drive hybrid

Is that a plastic prop? Says stainless on the other pic above.

I think it's an interesting concept. Could be a great solution for little riveted jon boats.

Can't believe there's been no comments on this since fri the 8th! :o

MMT has never been known for its lack of opinionated experts  , who are always ready to comment on something they may (or may not) know anything about.

I'm kinda curious as to this flex shaft "Dentist's drill" concept and what y'all in the know think about its ability to take the punishment of the swamp.

Let's hear from you, before I go throw away/invest? my money.

I think on a small boat they're perfect . I don't think hitting a stump going as fast as they can go will do much should pop up easy since it's lite . We are gonna use it for 2 main reason . It's short and better than a outboard for our big blind boat . We usually have to ride in at idle so speed is something we care less about

What advantage would it have over a longtail?

Short tail, easier to handle, and hopefully better speeds. Looks like the price is right too.

looks kinda like somebody fabricated a longtail to do the job of a surface drive.
