 Beavertail motor change?
I picked up a beavertail 13hp with a Honda motor on a trade, I like it but it is a little underpowered for my boat.
Question is, does anyone know what is the largest motor that I could replace the Honda with on that model frame, I realize I would have to re-prop it if I can get a bigger motor on that frame. But does anyone know if the 13hp frame will accommodate a 22+hp motor and everything just bolt up and go..?

 Re: Beavertail motor change?
Start off by measuring output shaft diameter , to see what you have to match , keep in mind keyway thickness. Secondly measure output shaft height from base plate, center of shaft. You can then try to match as close as you can to clone motors . Specs are readily available online . If you find a match. , you'll next have to deal with base plate bolt layout . You can re tap and drill if need be . My originial godevil longtail, started as a. 9 hp crawfish , and ended up a 16 duromax, finally a 16. Vanguard.
