Well yesterday was entertaining to say the least..

I ordered the gx390 stage 1 hop up kit from NR Racing (hd valve springs, bigger jet, intake, choke holder, and timing key).
I also ordered the loop header with a muffler.

Long story short after working on it for a couple hours we ended up with a flooded out motor backfiring out of the intake.. (Face palm)..

Upon further inspection and a 12 pack, we tore the head back down and one of the push rods was bent, guessing that the valve springs might have got torqued too tight or something. We torqued everything to spec but it was an old wrench.

New parts coming Monday will post updates when I get it running or if anyone that wants to see how it turned out.

Pardon my wordage.. The nut that's on the back of the valve springs might have been too tight..

Part #5 is what I'm talking about.. And yes my engine talk is terrible, I can tear stuff apart and most times get it back together but that's about it.

Rods and the rockers were toast, got that lined out and got it running, gotta wait for better weather to water test it, we shall see..
