Does the gx610 and gx620 use the same oil filter ? |

Appears that way, that part number is listed for GX610, GX620, GX630, GX670, GXV340, GXV390 |

If you require 3/4 thread oil filter you need the wix 51394 or equivalent. Some require 3/4 thread and some 19mm. I made the mistake and used the 19mm on the 3/4 filter adapter. Had to replace it. It's simple. get a mud motor. shoot ducks in the face. |
