I am strongly considering swapping out my prodrive stage 2 setup for a 23 swomp setup from backwater... But I' would really appreciate for someone to show me thier 23 an maybe possibly take me for a spin.. possibly let me try it out in open water as I am totally new to longtails... I am located in Livingston parish but would be happy to meet some one if I can reach out to someone that could show me what this swomp motor is all about. Thanx to all |

I still have a 23 SWOMP lite with a 22 predator that is quite impressive. It will be gone this weekend, sold it to a friend a few houses down. I'm not far from Huck - I'm in Beaumont, TX. Can still take you for a spin in it anytime though. |

I appreciate the offer, but kinda far for me at the moment , I been pretty busy on the weekends. How did you like the lite kit? How does the kit compare to the ss model? |

The lite kit is a straight shaft with no u-join - which essentially gives you less power loss and pieces to go wrong. I wanted a new budget motor, so I bought the Lite kit and put a predator on it. It ran like a champ, and did anything I wanted it to do. Also moved the boat surprisingly fast. If I didn't get a bigger boat, I would have kept it. Backwater is about to release a 25-28 range motor on the Lite frame. I would definitely consider it. |
