Re: longtail connected to console possible?
I never saw one with a console but I know you can rig them with foot steering and trim that is operated buy stick. This way you can sit down and drive.

Re: longtail connected to console possible?
Sounds like you need a surface drive. I don't think a longtail is a good fit for remote steering.

Re: longtail connected to console possible?
No pics at the moment. I can get some when I go back to work on Jan 4th. And it's not a super go-devil either. It's a crawfish model on a flat. We call it our one man boat cause you can steer it with your feet and lift traps at the same time without stopping.

Re: longtail connected to console possible?
Here are the pics of our Go-devil crawfish model LT 1-man steering system.
Angled view:
Side view : motor trimmed up. instead of leaning back the handle would be straight up when the motor is in the water. You can apply forward pressure to keep the motor in the water if needed.
Rear view:
Rear cable is trim cable. Front cable is steering cable. It goes across and links up similar to an outboard.
All steering is hands free. I was told these can be special ordered through Go-Devil.

Re: longtail connected to console possible?
I'll try to get some extra pics when I go to work next week. As for "serious riggin," I got to say Coco does good work and there ain't any riggin here as I assume you are referring too.

Re: longtail connected to console possible?
does it take a lot of force to lift it up, or to get it down good in thicker mud or something harder. i've never used those cables, can they take that kind of stress? if it does stress the cables out you could put that triangle peice for your trim on the bottom, make a bigger one to get more leverage.
if you need it of course
