Post Wanna build my own exhust??
I want to build my own exhust for a 25 kohler on a long tail. I checked on some Hopkins pipes, Damn Pricey!! If I have to go that way I will but don't want to. I'm sure someone here has done that if not many. I'm looking for options. I can get ss tube and have acsess to a tig welder. I was also thinking of some supertrap mufflers mated with some ss tube. That way you could adjust the tone and back pressure. Thoughts on that?

Any ideas or pictures would be helpfull. I wanna blow out my neighbors when I crank it up, they'll love it! I live on a river so when I fire it up to leave hunting or fishing, I want them to know it's ME!

Also would this increase my performance or hurt it?
Waiting for replies, lets see some of your work mud junkies!

not sure about the back pressure but some guys have cut the baffles out of their stock muffler and had a little bit of a performance gain. have seen a long tail or 2 with a glass pack

be careful about not heating up the shaft with your new exhaust.

not matter what you got or how you look at it, its just a lawn mower motor at the end of the day.

Check out my post on Engines & Engine mods. On home made exhaust for all mud motors SD & LT models. They work, and sound like a Harley Sportster when installed on V Twin engines.
