Years ago, when GD introduced that twin setup, I always wondered how that would run. I started with a 18 HP GoDevil myself on a 1436 jon. I even bought the "emergency" start hub from Coco and managed to manually start that 18 when the battery died. Was a good motor, slow but sure. How's your rotator cuff??

These motors just hot put on this boat they were my bro in laws he got them on a custom 1860 godevil boat that setup was badass it had everything, but he got tired of not having reverse an bought a 50 HP Mercury so I got em for cheep with low hours

Ran twin 23's on a heavy boat for a long while. I thought they were a pain in the ass. I always swore a single big block would have been better. Maybe a little slower but lighter and less torque.

Well I'm having to do a little adjust to the cavitation plates his boat had a 16in transom smooth bottom and mine has 20 in with a tunnel hull so at first they were kicking themselves out of the water an were hard to hold but now ive got em where they are perfect we added about 4in to the plate and turned it up at about a 75° angle, so they are easy to run now except I'm having trouble with the engines themselves I think it's just gas so I'm getting all new filters and separators and lines hopefully that will fix it

We used to run a Go-Devil 1856 with twin 23's, I'm trying to find some decent pics. The thing was a beast in every way. Pushed about 19 mph full or empty. Load didn't really matter. The rig was heavy, heavy, heavy, and the motors were a workout to control. We sold it because it was just too much for our needs.

Did y'all ever have problems with one motor starving for gas but not the same one every time, it changes back an forth which ever motor I crank last acts likes its starving for gas and when I rev them up an put them in water they bog down an kill themselves
