Hey guys. New to forums. Didn't really know a better place to post this but I have an older, 90's model I believe, go devil long tail. The drive shaft broke on me a few weeks ago and I'm having the hardest time getting it out of the shaft tube. Ive removed both tube caps and the propeller is still on. I heard about building a slide hammer but had no idea where to start. I've seen a few but not that look like they'd fit to my application. Any advice would be great. |

Make sure that you don't have a set screw in the middle of the of the drive shaft tube, along with a bearing or something like that, holding the shaft there. I don't know. just a thought. |

Go devil has a very good service tool set that includes a big ass slide hammer and a bushing r&r setup. Most likely wont need it but comes in handy |

The part of the shaft that is showing by the u joint has to be completely rust free. We usually run the motor and use a 2 inch of sand paper to get all the rust off. I know it doesn't seam like that would make a difference, but it does! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk |
