Post subject: | GD Auto Lubricator on MBLT? |
I tried searching, but couldn't find exactly what I am looking for. Has anyone ever added a auto lubricator to a 25 MBLT frame? I recently acquired a MBLT and being every other LT Iv'e owned has been a GD I'd like to install a auto-lubricator on this one. Any ideas? |

It shouldn't need one, but if you feel the need, just get the gd one and install the same way. The seals hold the grease in by design. |

I considered it on my old MBLT frame. I would think it would be good insurance. Damn sure won't hurt. |

The MBLT that I had used considerably less grease than all my GDs. I wouldn't mess with it, MB dosent recommend greasing as much either. |

At least there is anti-seeze on everything so it "should" come apart fairly easy lol Sent using smoke signals |

I don't it every-time but I make sure to do it every 10 hours or so. It just makes sense when you're hunting salt marshes every other weekend Sent using smoke signals |

When I ran my GoDevi LT's, my motto was "have grease gun, will travel". They oozed grease big time and later they improved it. My last motor was an MB and I never had to grease it as much, as Bigbend stated, MB warns that over-greasing is not a good idea, I did that and had to replace the seals I blew out. If you follow the directions given in the previous posts, you will be fine and not need the "auto-lubricator". Of course you can carry a loaded grease gun at all times. ![]() Ninja is spot on, I change out the prop several times a year and apply the anti-seize and I run fresh water exclusively but after those first bind ups on the GD's, I learned my lesson! Keep it clean! |
