When I ran my GoDevi LT's, my motto was "have grease gun, will travel". They oozed grease big time and later they improved it. My last motor was an MB and I never had to grease it as much, as Bigbend stated, MB warns that over-greasing is not a good idea, I did that and had to replace the seals I blew out. If you follow the directions given in the previous posts, you will be fine and not need the "auto-lubricator". Of course you can carry a loaded grease gun at all times.
So far my Backwater is new and lubed and there won't be as much as a need as the MB. Ninja is spot on, I change out the prop several times a year and apply the anti-seize and I run fresh water exclusively but after those first bind ups on the GD's, I learned my lesson! Keep it clean!
