All longtail brands can use some TLC, and these "glorified" lawnmower motors should get quality components. Must be a reason several mfg.'s suggest synthetic oil after the break-in period (roughly 25 hours). There are several fine synthetic brands (e.g. Mobil 1) of oil and grease. I wouldn't skimp on oil filters either. I would add that although the Champion brand of spark plug is usually recommended (e.g. RC 12 YC for my 27 HP Kohler), I am getting good results with the E-3 type. Again, we are not cutting grass, we're cutting water veggies! Be good to your LT! ![]() |
