Earlier this fall I purchased a used GoDevil longtail with a predator 670cc motor. It needed a little work so I replaced the full stainless shaft, both bushings, as well as the upper and lower seal housings. After hunting 6 of the first 8 days of our FL season I noticed on Saturday that the lower seal housing was spinning with the shaft/prop, closer inspection revealed the threads at the bottom of the frame/tube which houses the stainless shaft were stripped.

I sent pictures to GoDevil and within a few hours had a response from Coco who sent very clear repair instructions via email, and he took the time to speak with me on the phone and explain in detail the most likely cause, along with the repair procedures. GoDevil has actually designed a tool/die to rethread the shaft tube, and with a deposit is sending the tool/ die to me. Great customer service as far as I'm concerned. Quick detailed response both via email and phone.

I have the proper tool and parts coming from GoDevil, will let you know how it turns out.

CoCo was a big help with my hull when removing foam and upgraded floors... called him, 4 hours later he had me new floors cut and bent, paint and rivets ready to go for pick up.... then explained to me in person, the best way to get pods out

The tool from GD worked like a charm. myself and 2 buddies rethreaded the tube and replaced the lower seal housing in about an hour. will be back on the water for our phase II opener on Saturday.
