Bought this boat earlier this year after it sat untouched for aprox 10 years. Changed fluids cleaned carb ect. Motor idles fine but won't idle below 1800 rpm even with adjustment screw all the way out. Max rpm was 3600 but tinkered with the governor to get it to 3700. Any other adjustment to the gov engine runs 4500+ with no throttle control. Owners manual states 4000 rpms out of water i believe. Any ideas where my problem could be? This may sound crazy, but, did you take the I take manifold off and clean it, too? If not, pull it off and spray carb cleaner through it to clean out any enamel. Trust me...it helps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
