Just got my little 6.5 Backwater home. It's been a duck camp since September. I cleaned most of the mud/dirt off. Ran some fuel treatment through it for 15 minutes. Also took the prop and prop nuts and crush sleeve off. There were gobs of a fishing line, decoy line, weeds etc. wrapped around between the prop and the bearing housing. I cleaned everything off and then pulled the cap off of the bearing housing just to make sure the Revo Clean system was doing its job. I'm very happy with what I found. This little motor has over 400 hours and it has not been babied. The seals are in great shape, not a hint of water in the grease. I love my 40 but this little 6.5 has definitely earned it's keep! So for those wondering about the Revo Clean and if it really works, have a look. |
