 35 mb lt
I recently purchased a mb 35 lt. Wanted a pd but other things came up and settled for the lt. Motor runs good. Just guessing but it seems to run much faster than the 24 hd i had before but it seems to be running a little deep in the water. I'm thinking i need to flatten the stainless plate on the top of the cav. plate to raise the prop up and lower the handle. Been a while since I've had a longtail so if some of u lt owners have some input please do so.

 Re: 35 mb lt
if its running deep, bend the cav plate tab down to bring it up. play with it in small increments til you get it in the sweet spot

 Re: 35 mb lt
I took mine completely off. It was running really deep. Runs perfect without the plate. I have it on a 1754 Grizzly with tall transom and got the longer mb. Best speed I've ran is 22mph with two guys, empty, and dog. I notice the difference when I load the boat up with 3 guys, dog, and all the gear I can fit in it.

 Re: 35 mb lt
How deep is it running? Is the caviatation plate running 1 or 2 feet below the surface or 1 to 2 inches below the surface. Most people with longtails complain about the tail blowing out of the water and having to hold up on the handle to keep the prop in the water. If the prop will stay in the water without you having to pull up on the handle and its not running more than 3 or 4 inches deep I would leave it along.

 Re: 35 mb lt
it's running about 12-18 inches under the water's surface. haven't had a chance to get back out and run it to make adjustments. on my last longtail i ended up bending the handle down so i could run it without the handle being in my armpit all the time.
