 Engine malfunctions
My 20 hp engine runs great until I run wide open then it dies does anyone have any suggestions on what it could be?

clean the carburetor real good. if you've never cleaned a carburetor, then find someone to show you or let a mechanic do it. it may be more than a simple cleaning, but then again it needs to be cleaned anyway...

Had same problem. Buddy said it was air filter. Changed air filter, fuel filter, and plugs to be sure and problem disappeared...

not tellin a feller what to do, but I do all that plus change the erl and clean the carb ever year after seasons over with......I dont run 10 Hours all off season....you can save ya motor if ya keep her clean!!!
