| Post subject: | Deploying Long Lines with Long Tail?? |
Hey Guys, any tips for using a long tail and long lines? I have deployed them and I always run into a situation where I feel that I run the risk of the line tangling with the motor. Picking up decoys one at a time by yourself is really a pain so using long lines helps me tremendously but the issues I am having with deploying them makes them almost not worth it. any thoughts? |

Paddle or trolling motor. We dont do it often, but when we do, I don't fire up the longtail. #CFFITR #GhostBoat #Whoneedsphysicsihaveamudmotor |

I don't use the motor while picking up or setting. Use the wind.. Your line should be into the wind. Heavy anchor near the blind area. Drift with wind to set. Run to end of line and use line/heavy anchor to pull boat in as you pick up... I've done it by myself out of a sneak boat. |
