 Boat Light
Hey guys, Anyone know of a spotlight that you can mount on the grab bar and the actual light swivels side to side and up n down? If you are fammiliar with the first duck commander movie, Warren coco had one on his grab bar just like what I am talking about when they were changing blinds!

 Re: Boat Light
cabelas has several to choose from. They are for ATV/UTV's but they will work for what you want I think.. Here is one link... http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templ ... jsp.form23If you just enter Spotlight in the search, several will come up... I have the above one...works fine...

 Re: Boat Light
I just bought two off road lights (150 watt haligens each) and mounted them in the front of my boat, just back from the front gunnel. Built two small aluminum guards from 1/8 sheet. That way I can run with one hand on the motor and one hand on the grab bar. They light up the night!
Hands free and a whole lot less expensive than the movable lights from cabelas. I just mounted a switch plate to my grab handle. I've got 3 switches mounted to it. One for the lights, one for the bilge pump and one for the led lights on the sides of the boat. Very easy to flip the switches while under power too. Just my .02 cents? Smoke

 Re: Boat Light
yell I went with the mounted 100 watt pair on the front AND the hard hat light (with the 100 watt bulbs) for directional lighting..
don't even need the conventional "qbeam" or spot light now...
works awesome....
hard wire hard hat light to battery with two prong plug....

 Re: Boat Light
One of the reasons I went to mounted lights is my partner always wants to shine for deer, coons and whatever else he can spot with the light! LOL So when I'm going up or down the river in the dark when all at once, I've got no lights on the water, dead heads, trees etc. So I thought I'd still let him have his fun, and I wouldn't need him as my primary light source anymore....... He likes it....................I love it! Smoke

 Re: Boat Light
I bought mine from autozone. 100 or 150 watt halagen off road lights. They were approx. $25.00 each. They come with a short wire harness. But you can prob. go to any auto store and get em. Worth the money. They take a pretty good shock to.
Plus I sunk my dang boat in 12' of water in Ms, last year, banged into stumps, trees in the flooded woods smashed into the clay banks on the river I live on and they still work. I figured if I got two years outa of em, they'd be worth it. 2 years now and they still goin!
