i have a 29 van i was just seeing what kind of gains you guys are getting with a carb kit and exhaust or should i just save my money and buy a 35 |

A lot depends on how well it works now... On a longtail --- speed is not going to be as important to most as pushing power and ability to plane a desired load well.... Sometimes the best upgrade is a new prop and fresh spark plugs.... I would start with those --- seen several motors with extra mods slinging old worn out props --- just makes me shake my head and wonder.... |

how much should i ask for the motor its 3 or 4 years old and has 72 hours on it its been taken real good care of |

If youre moving a really large load you will see a difference,an average load not too much.Traveling at 20 mph it will take roughly 30 minutes to cover 10 miles which is a hell of a lot longer run than most folks have.At 25 mph it will take roughly 25 minutes to cover same 10 miles.Not exact figures but not far off. Hang on to your money and get up 5 minutes early. |
