 27hp Beavertail
Well just bought my first mud motor. It is a 27hp beavertail on a 16x48 Lowe boat. Took it out for the first time and to me it seems like it should go faster. Where should you have the "tilt Adjuster Bolt' at? I Moved it both up and down. It it normal for the motor to want to kick up and stay out of the water, not hitting anything? Sure is a work out driving this thing. Any help would be nice. Thanks John

 Re: 27hp Beavertail
Bend the back edge of the cavitation plate upward a little bit at a time, like an eight of an inch or so, until it quits trying to pop up out of the water. I used a couple big adjustable wrenches. Remember it don't take much.
