I'M THE NEW KID ON THE BLOCK.I JUST JOINED. I WOULD LIKE TO GET SOME OPINIONS. I GUESS I'M FINALLY BUILDING MY MUD BOAT.. I JUST BOUGHT A MB 29 HP KAW...IT'S A 2004 WITH LESS THAN 10 HRS. STILL HAS PAINT ON THE PROP..LOOKS AND RUNS LIKE NEW. I GAVE $1700 FOR IT & HAD TO GO 200 MILES TO PICK IT UP.. I INTEND TO PUT IT ON A 16-52 SEMI VEE FLAT BOTTOM. I'D LIKE TO BE ABLE TO USE IT IN THE RIVER AS WELL AS BACKWATER. DID I GIVE TOO MUCH? WHAT'S IT WORTH. WILL IT SERVE THE PURPOSE? HOW FAST?.....THIS IS NOT A JOKE, I NEED TO LEARN AND THIS LOOKED LIKE THE PLACE.. THANK YOU, SENSEISUGARBEAR

Welcome. First off, stop typing in caps. Sounds like a good deal if it runs "great" and its a little to late to be worrying about that or what its worth now. You own it. Only way you gonna know how it runs on that hull is to put it on and find out because probably aint no one running tha combo. Enjoy it an you tell us how it runs.........

I had the exact same motor on my 1652 G3 when I was alone it ran like 22-23 It wasnt bad with me and a dog and some hutning gear. But 2 guys loaded down with decoys and gear it was a dog slow as shit. I sold it after 2 months and bought a MB 35 and that wasnt enough so I modded that out. I use mine on the Mississippi river all the time. My buddy is running a 1544 with that 29 kawi on it and he runs about 26-27mph and it carrys a load a little better. My Kawi ran great and everything just not enough for a big heavy all welded boat like i have. Hope this helps
