i have been thinking about an experiment for my little 9 foot boat. i have an old trollin motor and was wonderin if with some emt conduit and pvc elbows i could rig it into a longtail. does anybody think it might work or am i wastin my time tryin to build it? any imput is appreciated. |

What are you trying to accomplish? Do a author search for bootz and look at that thing he built a while back. If I remember correctly it was working out pretty well for him. |

here you go bud. to do the search, hit the search tab up at the top of the page. it gives you a bunch of diff options on how to search. If you were trying it and it wasn't workin, its cuz I spelled his name wrong. Bootzz. viewtopic.php?f=17&t=7589&p=80245#p80245 |

thats probobly what ill wind up doin, what size longtail u think i need fo a 1442 alumniweld 16 or 23? |

It will go just fine with the 16. It will go bettr with the 23. Better means a little FASTER AND PUSH MORE WEIGHT. Mark |

Here is an idea - take an old golf cart apart - them motors have some power and the variable speed and reverse too....
