i have gdlt frame i need to change the lower bushing i read the manual. it states to cut the the bushing in two locations. i am not sure where to cut the bushing. i think it is the new seal system i attached a couple of pics. |

get u a sawzaw with a metal blade or a few blades cuz its going to eat them up and put in to were the shaft was coming out and cut it like a cross ( + ) its alot easier to get out in 4 pieces. then get u a flathead strew driver and tap each piece in word till they fall out. hope this helps man |

That's interesting. You have the new style seal collar with the old style bushing. The new bushing has a helical cut groove inside and a slot in the edge for grease to circulate. To pull bushings I weld a 7/8 tap to a 3/4 X 10 long nut. I screw a long threaded rod into the nut, slide a piece of pipe on the threaded rod and put a nut on the end of the rod. Screw the tap into the old bushing and use this as a slide hammer . It removes bushings quickly with no chance of damage from the saw. |

i removed and changed the bushing with no problem i put it all back together started filling up the shaft with grease upper seal leaking. Any tips on changing the upper seal. |
