Post The old days
Maybe I'm just an old fart all around, but, I miss the old days. Any of you that ever lived in a small town and watched it grow up around you probably know what I'm talking about. But I'm not talking about my hometown.

I'm talking about these forums. I used to enjoy the mud motor forums back when there were a handful of folks argueing back and forth, hell back when they had to create a forum for us beacuse they got tired of reading the arguements. It sure seems with the gaining of popularity of these motors, that the forum (wheverr it was hosted) has done the same thing and along the way somewhere....lost it's charm.

I miss the adventures of BM Barrellcooker and MMayes.
I miss the arguements between Harold and Paul.
The world vs. MudDoc
The whole damn internet ready to send a search party out looking for me out on a sandbar on fausse pointe
Dead Animal looking at the world through the bottom of a glass
Stumpgrinder riding down mainstreet in his boat, screaming at hotel patrons in Beaumont and Mud Doc having to apologize for his behavior
Rail causing MudDoc to take blood pressure medication

The good old days of gloves off internet fist fighting with Dead Animal, Stumpgrinder, Rail, Sandman, River, Leaky Wader, ALMODUX, Nab, MudDoc, etc.

This little country club of mud motor owners we used to have turned into a shopping mall full of newbie wannabe knowitalls. I don't guess it's anybody's fault and I don't guess there is ever any going back.

But I sure miss the old days.......and I expect that there are others that feel the same. I use don't see some of the old names like I used to....including me.

I wasn't around during the days of which you speak.

The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. Go here and click on the "donate a mammogram". This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate mammogram in exchange for advertising.

Definately noticed a change. Putting the fights aside, if you think about it, the fun was because it was all so new to us and we couldn't wait to see what Rail or RC would come up with next or what we would break next or what stumpy's new video would show. Its like the mud motor world is at a plateau for the old timers. The new guys are just getting their rocks off like we did. But I still think we did it with more class  . We had some characters.
Its hell getting old. Next thing you know we will be taking our dog's meds!
