Heard it shrinks a little after applying the cement. I know my sheets of the B grade didn't come in square cut, so I'll have to cut it square. Any tips on making the seams line up squared after the cement dries. |

I dont know what is the correct method but in my experience with it I used the dap weldwood in the red can. I put the glue on the boat and then on the hydro-turf and the turf got larger on the first piece. So for the rest I just put the glue on the boat real thick and put it on like that. It is hell to get it lined up. You wont get it perfect, good enough will just have to do. my .02 |

No shrinkage here. When you cut a piece to fit, apply the glue and start laying it down it will grow, not shrink. The glue should hold it in place and not allow it to move. |

Actually, I think I said that wrong. I believe that it stretches out when the cement is applied and when it dries it shrinks back to its original size. Either way, it makes it a pain in the ass to close up those seams. |

If you can, do it in the shade. I did mine out in the sun in the afternoon, and when the sun dropped behind the hills and it started to cool down the stuff started shrinking bad. I tried just putting it heavy on the boat at first, and it didn't work great, so I ended up having to pull up one piece and apply the Weldwood to both the boat and the mat to get it to stick. |

You need to coat both boat and turf. |

So when you apply the glue do you slap it down immediately or let it get tacky 1st. I don't want to do a sloppy job. That chit will eat me up to look at it all the time. |

It will expand when it gets hot. Be sure to leave 1/2-3/4" space around everything and you won't have any problems. |
