 Chicken Lips needs some prayers Think its been 5 weeks now since the helicopter picked him up from the camp at the DU. He hasn't been to work or driven since then. He says its still bad. Hadn't slacked up yet. He was fixing to head out the door to go do a check up. They been picking, sucking blood, scanning, testing everything and are still not sure whats wrong. The best they can say is a bad case of west nile and/or meningitis. But the seisures he has been having is throwing them off. Got a disease specialist to check to see if he may have caught something from cleaning and handling deer, but nothing showed up.
So lets keep him in our prayers and hope this thing starts slacking down.

Re: Chicken Lips needs some prayers He is probably getting some of that high quality Baton Rouge medical care, if it's not clamidea, genital warts or herpes then our local physicians get stumped. Around here they think a common cold is the first stage of Gonorrhea.
Hopefully they have or soon will send him to a place like Houston to find some real help with educated and qualified doctors.

I think all the prayers are finally workin'  I'm actually startin' to feel better on 2 of the last 5 days... no stroke symtoms, headaches or nausea.  Big improvements though. The Infectious Dease Specialist confirmed that it was NOT realated to cleaning deer (or any other wild game). Another Neurologist Specialist said it was NOT cancer of the spine or brian.  All concure that it's meningitis, prolly a severe case of W.Nile...  which can cause permanent nerve damage if it continues to linger.  I went to my neurology doc's place Thursday; still no work or driving my truck or boats, no drinkin' either  prolly be another 2 months. ...so after 4 trips & 2 check-in's @ 3 hospitals; and 4 CRT's, 4 MRI's, 4 spinal taps; 3 xrays; and countless blood tests that's what I know! ...then throw in a treadmill test and upper & lower colonoscopy during the same time ...I gotta be tuffer than a 50yr old leather recliner  chicken lips
