That is interestin' 'cept fo the big words that I have hard time to understands. But ~ I did git this thot from it ....... so many years ago we all had to reduce our speed on all highways to 55mph ..... to conserve fuel thay said. Alot of folks gots alot of tickets .... some even lost thays drivers license 'cause thay gots so many tickets. Years past and the truth prevailed ...... 70mph is good and back on !!!! Mabe ..... after all the dawggone mess up's this feller is puttin' on us ..... we will be smart enuff to git back on track and once again ...... Pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. I made that pledge whilest I was in the grammer school right here in America learnin' the thangs that Americans should know ... i.e., Readin', Writin', and Arithmatic !!!! |

Should've gone through with that whole Liberia thing. Seriously, I wonder what America would be like today without the massive number of blacks here. You have to think that at the end of the War of Northern Aggression, the plantation system was essentially in ruins. Large scale farming changed dramatically. The Westward expansion and settling of the plains moved our agrarian center out of the South. The Chinese and the Mexicans were the main labor sources in the West and it was done in wages. The Southern blacks either moved North to cities or stayed in the South sort of frozen in time until 1964. Generations of welfare have now put them back on the plantation except they do NO work. This puts them in a prime position to listen to a sumbitch like Obama. They have been addicted to handouts and here come's the Pied Piper talking about "spreading the wealth around". It's just like modern day Zimbabwe. Take it back and give it to it's "rightful owner" even if by force. |

Now, that's the problem. I wonder if we had Return to Sender'd their asses in 1865 what the American collective psyche would be like today. More pioneer, less sharecropper? Historian Frederick Turner had a theory called the "Escape Valve" that basically said that the notion of a frontier and the ability of the average American to pick up and go seek a fortune made us unique mentally. Without a ridgid class system from preventing us from travelling and working as we saw fit, the we have a totally different outlook on things than Europeans. In keeping the slaves as freeman but without them assuming the position as equals in society, the formerslaves created a new class even if not legally. Toss in the notion that many had that they were child-like in mental capacities and needed some sort of help and you've got the continuation of the plantation system. FDR and the New Deal just expanded that way of life to other skin tones. The Hispanics have only recently begun to exploit the system to their benefit as they slowly leave their society behind. The only race that I've seen that almost totally rejects this notion are the Asians. Within one generation, they tend to speak English without dialect. We need to vote in a second generation Thai. |
