Be advised.
Do not use the dishwasher to hot tank a engine block.
That is all.

No damage, it actually worked great. I had already pressure washed and degreased the block (outboard) and thought the pots and pan cycle would eliminate any other debris if present.

The bad part was the wife said she was going to go shopping then planned to stop off and work out, I figured 2-3 hrs. So this was a perfect opportunity to put the block in the washer and get it done before her return. Well I guess shopping took all of 15 min and her workout 30. The washer was just entering the drying mode, when she walked through the door. I'm in the garage and it's like oh chit, she came back early.

Now Petra is a full blooded German, and the expletives that came out of her mouth took me by suprise, not to mention the constant rant and rave that followed for the rest of the day. I thought I was back at the Newport News ship yard.

Looks as if I am sleeping on the coach until further notice.
