Post Trailer bunk block for GoDevil with GatorGlide
Just installed gator glide to my 1644 GD hull and trailer bunks. Awesome stuff and very happy with the purchase, but as most people have mentioned, loading on the trailer solo was a cartoon. Talked to Frog about extending the bunks back about 6” from the transom and adding a block to catch the boat from sliding.

My question is for guys with a double angled transom, how tall do you have your block so that the boat doesn’t just ramp over it when sliding back down? The transom taper is about 4” tall. Hoping someone else has already done the trial and error so I can save myself some time.

i like that you Gator glided the bunks too, on my list as well when touch up is due.

Best answer I have to this is a power pole, run it up stay on throttle and power pole down. then go attach strap, up on the pole and your good. only a 1500 dollar solution!

Frogs idea worked like a charm. 2x4 blocks with 3” deck screws. Ran them into the block a bit so the head isn’t exposed. Had to put the trailer in to top of wheels to get the boat to float over but that isn’t a problem with me.

Tides were running really high today so it was a pretty flat slope at the ramp. I pushed hard as I could and couldn’t make the boat slide over the blocks so I feel good about them working on a steep ramp just as good.

That white block is 1" starboard. but on a steep ramp 1.5" would be better. I think you'll be happy with what you've done.

Have been real happy with it until I tried to launch in a shallow ditch today. I put these blocks on thinking that if I ever need to launch super shallow that I could just take the blocks off and let her slide back. Learned this morning in the dark, breathing in mosquitos, that I put the front screw too far forward to be able to take the screw out with the boat on the trailer. oops. Screws going in from the bottom now. May try the 1” piece for S&Gs so I don’t have to put the trailer as deep.

Also finally got to run some veggies with the GG today. Man this stuff makes a night and day difference. Wish I woulda put it on sooner.
