I asked the same question on the old thread. I seen him on Meet The Press prior to them naming a Vice Pres. candidate. He sounded good to me. I will vote for him and Palan next time around.

Figured you'd know more about him than most. Saw him on Meet the Press yesterday. Lot of GOP talking points and such but that's normal for Sunday talking head shows. I thought he made a lot of good points. He was saying he refused portions of the bailout as is gave a little money and created permanent government institutions that the state would have to pay for later. Is he on the ticket in 2012? |

i think the texas govenor refused some bail out money also cause when the bail out money runs out the state will have to pick up the bill.. which i think is smart cause i think texas and la are some of the few state that are in the black and not in the red like kansas ans cali.... silver creek did you get your state income tax refund or did get an i o u ???? |

Voted for him twice also. He lost a little ground when he was about to let the legislators vote themselves somethin' like a 66% raise. He vetoed it at the last minute & publicly admitted that it was a mistake to let it go that far. Media kinda beat him up on that. Partly for lettin it happen, & partly for publicly admitting that he was capable of a mistake. His role in Gustav was outstanding, especially compared to Blanco during Katrina. I'll vote for him for Pres. |

He didn't come across too well last nite after Obama's speach when he gave the Republican response.. I hope he works on his delivery if he plans to be a player on the national scene.. |

He's a sharp cat. Yea, his delivery seemed more like he was addressing a elementary school class. He gives way better deliveries than that. I'd vote him president anyday. He's got the skills to do it for sure. |

His delivery was a little weak, but we must remember that he is trying to educate the people that voted for Obama and show them their mistakes. It is necessary for him to speak in an elementary like manner when that primary audience is for lack of a better term----mostly illiterate!!!!! Guy's he wasn't talking to us. |
