He's probably one of those gun show guys with an FFL. I have seen some really good deals from gun show guys but I am always worried about what would happen if I had a problem with the gun. I guess it all depends on what you are buying. I got my first 12 gauge, a Beretta 390, from a gun show. Got a great deal and the gun was flawless for 15 years until I lost it in the water. Not too many major problem areas with a shotgun but if I was buying something over a $1,000, I would stick with a well known dealer. But that is because I don't know enough about guns to feel comfortable with what I am buying. On the other hand, everyone, even reputable dealers, are capable of screwing you over. |
