Post largest dead snake
this is a snake they found dead in south texas (around brownsville). they are supossedly a new species of cotton mouths that get huge, but cannot live once they are removed from water. they found this one two miles from the rio grande....they believe they are beginning to mirate north....not good for us....not good at all!

Can't see the pic. Some friends hunted in that area a few years ago and killed a massive black snake in a tank. The land owner was upset because they import these snakes and put them in the tanks. Forget the name but they eat other snakes that come to the tanks to feed and get water. Mainly rattlers. They were told that these snakes have to have water to live in so they stay in the tanks and do not leave.

Had to move to Texas for a few years on a work thing, got called coonass a good bit until I learnt them that the only thing seperates a coonass from a horses ass is the Sabine river!!!!!

The steps to our basement are about 18 inches behind the computer chair. Then 14 steps to the bottom. Thanks for bringing Worlds of Fun to Kansas. :o The EMT's thought it was a long one also. :D

They don't stay in the tank and they have spread pretty much all over south texas- ;)

bumped into one (bout a 7 footer) while I was crawlin under some thick brush tracking a deer. He slithered about 14" in front of my face. If I hadn't known what it was i would have completely shit myself
