bayou meto is some good ground for sure. Too many people hunt it for my liking. most if not all refuges around the metro have excellent timber hunting, white river and cache river refuges are ones we hunt the most. Timber hunting is spectacular.

All duck hunters should hunt the metro at least 1 time however

especially those two things, Duck Gumbo is a site to behold. I swear there is something in the water in stuttgart, hazen, clarendon and other areas in the "prairie country" there are some smoking hot ladies around there. Alot of them work at macks too during duck season. It is a crazy place in Nov that is for sure

Heard alot about Bayou Metro. I hunt Big Lake WMA near Blytheville. Great timber hunting. Ice storm did some serious damage to the timber. My buddy can't even get to his blind to get his decoys out.

I started duck hunting in timber, thats what I got hooked on. Even though Ive had some great hunts in the south La marsh, I always make a few timber hunts every year. Ive been wanting to plan a trip to Meto, but never made it, and it seems over the past 8-10 years, its gotten ridiculously crowded.
