Today's Scripture Proverbs 10:19 When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise. Devotional Sometimes when we get frustrated with situations that involve others, we have a tendency to say hurtful things, before we really think about what we are saying. At times it is difficult for us to be careful with our words, this is when we need God’s help. One of the fruits of the spirit is self-control. God can help us control our tongues; we need to trust God to help us in this area. Other times it is just best to keep our mouths shut get my point, shush! |

I'm confused, should we just not add anything to this thread? Just kidding. That is a good scripture, and application. Even when I'm not mad, I find it best to keep my words few. |

The book of Proverbs has a lot of interesting passages on the "tongue." In a nutshell, the tongue can be used to give life to or lift the spirit of somebody. Or it can be sharp and used like a sword to kill the spirit of a person. Choose the words from your tongue wisely. Sent using Morse Code from my not so smart phone. |
