I finally got a go devil long tail after a few years and I want to take my kids frogging since they're old enough now. Whats the best time of year and best time of night? Do they usually come out all year long except for winter months? Any other pro tips to make a more enjoyable trip for the chirrins? We used to go down different canals around manchac and joyce wma and it was hit and miss but I never knew why.

Alabama- no closed season. 20 limit per person

Georgia- no limit, no closed season

Prohibited in Louisiana during April and May. Other than those 2 months, get after it. Have fun and be safe. Look in and around vegetation after dark and don't grab a water moccasin or an alligator on accident, and you'll be fine. Their eyes shine, use a good light. I prefer a good halogen, never used a led for that. Carry plenty of bug spray.
