8 months old is an age comparable to a two year old child. The dog is testing you to see what she can get away with, basicly testing your leadership capability. If she doesn't want to obey commands, scold the dog, show her you mean business and put her back in the kennel. Do this until she begins obeying again. Most of the time 3 or 4 days. Do not force fetch this dog. Force fetch is for when dogs have mouth problems. Lock jaw or dropping dumbies or something of that sort. It isn't for obedience. It's an extension of obedience. If she begins to show mouth problems after you work through this stage them get her force fetched by a quality trainer, if it's your first time.
