Post Digging holes
Got a five year old male black lab, can't stop him from digging holes in the yard. Any suggestions?

That's just the nature of a lab but I'd think if ya put an e collar on him and popped him with it each time u caught him in the act of digging a hole he should stop.

Take him hunting every morning and wear him out. Best behaved dog around is the one that is sleeping.

Joking aside, is he bored? Do you exercise him? I find my dogs are only destructive if I have not run bumpers with them in a day or two.

My lab only digs holes when it gets cold. This is balls up in the hole to keep warm. Maybe yours is doing the same.

I don't have a lab but mine use to dig holes here or there in the yard. I got smart, went to the store and picked up a pooper scooper. I make my rounds in the yard picking up his crap and started filling his holes with it. After about a week, he no longer digs in the yard. Two birds, one stone ;-)

I've found poop in the holes works well with my dogs.

Poop in holes is what I've heard works best.
