OP, you have continually missed the point of the advise you asked for. The point being if you get to 7 years and still are having that issue, you have done something wrong along the way, or missed the signs that told you to just quit trying (or very likely, both). Then you continually try to defend yourself like it's the dog's fault. The biggest point you need to take from all of this is regardless of what the dog is doing, YOU are responsible for his bad and good habits. If his "will" needs to be broken, as you say, and he's 7 years old, then you aren't the dog whisperer. Time to move on. He made it to 7 with your tutelage, got this way, with your help and guidance. Just stop. Don't get butthurt. Move on. Enjoy him as your dog, seek a professional trainer if you insist on trying to fix him, and let them help you figure out the best way to train him. It's not going to be a short, quick, 1 step fix. And he might never take to whatever you try. But don't open a post like you did and expect to be treated with respect, because you showed none, and haven't throughout, yet you act indignant. There really are some good trainers here, and some good advise in this post, but you only see the attacks to your character (which isn't well represented by yourself here).
