Looking for a new lab, had to put my buddy down the other day. I live down around Lafayette, la and don't know any breeders in the area. Who would ya'll recommend? I've dealt with Mount Kennels in Orangeburg, SC in the past and gotten two good dogs through them. Not sure I want to drive 800 miles one way to do it again. I'm looking either british or american. Denfinetly want to go puppy. Any suggestions or review would be greatly appreciated. |

I have purchased both my labs from Classic Labradors. They are more a show breed that was crossed with good hunting dogs. The result is that you have a great family dog but hit or miss on the hunting. Sadie turned out great and I could have taken her to Master title if I desired. Aimee failed out in a month. Sadie is a black lab & Aimee is white/ yellow. |

If your not in a hurry just keep your eyes open, retrievertraining.net has a good classified section, often youll find a puppy that suits your needs and is a better price from a "backyard" breeder and not a full time kennel/breeder. |

I live in Arkansas and have trained dogs for 17 years... part of the time professionally. I have worked for some of the best trainers in the nation while going thru college. Since then I purchase and get all my dogs trained by Reese Hudson in Russellville AR. He has access to some of the best labs in the nation, his accomplishments prove his dogs and his abilities. Get one a little crazy!!!!! |
