Post Sitting the last day out
Well it looks like after hunting everyday of the first split except 2 ole Dixie is going to sit the last one out. Her front paws are swollen and she is slap worn out. I know she will be cutting up in the morning when I leave her behind but it's for the best.

I work 7p-7a. 3 days one wk, 4 the next and then start all over. Think I'm going to start doing some afternoon hunting on the days I work off.

I'm fortunate enough with my new job to have 3 huntable days off a week, I work 4- 10 hr. days. Plus I actually have benefits now, including annual leave and sick leave to use when I want, and 2 flex days a year I have to use.

But I still didn't hunt all those days because it's been like spring this year, too pretty and not many ducks at all.

Thankfully I work 4 days a week with 3 off. The 4 days I work I work 12 to 14 hours but the 3 days off I hunt my ass off. I wish more.

It's easy with shift work. I hunt when I get off in the morning and I swap my days for someone's nights.

Was raining and the birds have flown the coop. So this ol dog sat the last day too. Nothing worse than no birds except a cold wet azz and no birds...........
