I work 3 days a week and go to college two days a week and I spend every waking moment i can with this 9 week old puppy..I comfort her i let her watch me pour food for her and i hold her i let her out to potty and i just STAY with her all the time... so when i brought her home she attached to my other lab and i have since learned that was a bad idea because then they would attatch to eachother...so i pulled them apart and put the older one in a pin outside....ever since then (been 3-4 days) she has not listened to me, she runs when i come to play with her, she wont retrieve anymore and i am super aggrevated..she wants to bite me and growl..she didnt do that before she met my other lab.. she wonts to ignore me....i dont what to do...right now if i could just get the dog to like me again that would be great! if anyone can please help me i would greatly appreciate it....

If so, let the damn thing be a puppy, she is 9 weeks old. It is important to socialize them with other dogs, stop being jealous of your other dog

Yeah I'm fucking serious! Not jealous of the dog! Obviously you have no damn clue of what I'm talking about so go hump sand! It's not That im not letting her be a puppy! She plays outside all the time and she eats all kinds of shit like any other pup she is just like any other puppy! It's like your child stayin with a baby sitter 24-7 the first 8 weeks of its life....whos the baby going to attach to? The babysitter!

Your right, I have no clue what you are talking about. Try articulating your thoughts properly in a coherent manner, with proper spelling and grammar and we will see if that helps.

A puppy is not going to become aggressive just because you separated it from another dog, you are leaving some information out somewhere. If she is eating "all kinds of shit" then you aren't doing a proper job of training her anyway. There are plenty of good books and videos out there that take you through training a dog, from puppy to adult and beyond, start there.

But at least you let her watch you pour her food, that is a good thing

Holly shit your fucking smart as hell! Think about it! The two dogs played rough, they would snap at each other and bite eachother, the little puppy picks that up! She now thinks to play she has to bite and snap at everything! Before they met the puppy would not snap and bite! I have plenty DVD's that I have watched recently and they say the same thing! Let them socialize but don't let them get attached. Also your supposed to let them watch you pour their food because it shows them that you took the place of their mother! Up to 12 weeks all you need to train for is kennel and potty train. At 12 weeks you can begine the simple sit, here, and heel. Other than that the dog's brain connot process all the info it is a puppy. Once it reaches 5-6 months then you can start formal OB. I agree with dinosour digger, Ease up on the pup and let here play with other dogs as it will help it to not sho aggression to others once older.

Thanks maxxis! See my reason for separation is because the older dog is 1 year 2 months....she is still a puppy... I am not really leaning on the puppy to learn anything I'm just introducing her to sit and down and fetching.. Maybe throwing 3-4 bumpers a day and takin her out to swim in mud holes...just getting her outside! I never force her to do anything I teach her with treats! She has no clue what she's doing but she can relate her actions to my words!

Yes this section of the forum is for info relating to dogs. Do you know where else you can get vast amounts of information on dog training and behavior? The internet, which you are on currently. You are asking questions about very basic training and puppy behavior, but were to lazy to google it for yourself. Your puppy is doing exactly what she is supposed to be doing, it is you who is acting irrationally.

Why did you join this mmt forum? To get info from people who have experienced a situation in which you are having trouble with, to just get info about the new boat, or maybe to get personal advice about your dog... Maybe if you didn't spend most of your day with dinosaur bones up your ass you would understand all those things! So now that we have figured out that I am not lazy I am only looking for personal advice towards my situation, go back to your lousy ass job of scratching rocks!

Ok thanks for your help kwicklabs! I'll try to get in contact with a local trainer tomorrow so maybe I can go meet them Saturday and kind of get a hands on experience and let them kind of show me what to do and what to expect.. Again, thank you for your help!!

I have a 1 year old puppy, that tests me every single day. It sounds like you got a high drive fiesty little pup. Your days will ALWAYS be interesting.

Just remember when they are that young their attention span isn't but about 10min of your time, after that they really don't care, as he/she gets older that span will increase. Let it be a puppy and bond with it, don't worry about the training that will come later.
