Need some help. My dog acts like he is scared to get on his dog stand...he retrieves fine when not on it but acts timid when I make him get on it. He won't even jump up on it. I have to put him on there . |

Is this stand new to the dog?,would he get on it before?is the stand elevated? |

Set it up on dry land. As low as possible if need be. DON'T drag him on it!! coach him on it and use food treats. Then work the retrieve with a dummy in and treat. Treat a couple times on a hunt when he does it and all will be good. |

Also, when you set the stand, check and make sure he is not going to jump on top of cypress knees or other objects below the surface. |

The stand is new to the dog...I set it up on dry land today and after a little while he finally started to jump on it...gonna work with him the rest of this week and take him Friday when season opens back up |
