Couple more Drahthaar photos. Joesy at 5.5 months and her her first blood tracked bear.dog32212 069.jpg Caribou hunt at 8 months. Ivashak1.jpg Ptarmigan Hunt at 8 months. josey6ptarmigian.jpg Like I said she is a no BS kind a gal with a big heart. Real bidable and very hard hunting. She made 400+ yard live goose retrieves at 10 months in water and on land. Het first goose ever, was a live, Greater Canadian, about 12 pounds, on a big cattle pond. She water chased it for 1/2 hour and when she caught it, the fight was on. Water flying and after about 10 minutes she brought it back. Keep in mind she was maybe 37 pounds dripping wet at the time. If your interested in a DD, look up Dan Ritter, Ritterburg Kennels at Woodbury, Minnesota. Good luck in your search. Don |

About 25 miles north of Anchorage on the only highway heading north. Chugiak is a little bedroom community and i live just off Peters Creek if your looking at a map. Live at the base of Bear mountain and maybe 8 miles from the Kinik River mouth. Live in a place that has Brown Bears, and black bears in my yard.... but not every day. Last summer had a lone moose calf hanging around. No Gators or Nutria but still not a bad place to call home. Don |
