 Training new Puppy My first lab, passed at almost 14 years old. Going to get new pup. I trained my first one, and going to train this one. 14 years was a long time ago, any DVD's that are helpful? From when you bring him home to about a year old?

Re: Training new Puppy Bill Hillmans training a retriever puppy. Then switch over to Evan Graham's Smartworks or mike lady when time to force fetch.

Re: Training new Puppy Waterdog can be used to train a useful hunting dog. However, retriever training has made huge advances since Waterdog was published. Hillman's system for training young retrievers is one very good example.

Re: Training new Puppy Waterdog is old, but it is very effective. Im sure there are some updated systems out there.

Re: Training new Puppy Duck dog basics, it's a good one only 19.99 or something. The wild rose way is also very good. I used techniques from both. It's good to see different methods for teach the same concepts because some dogs react differently

Re: Training new Puppy The guy in my avatar did really well with positive reinforcement until he got about 1-1.5 and he started thinking if I couldn't see him he didn't have to listen, garmin delta fixed him the first day!!!!
