 Draathar broken tail as a pup I have a deposit on drahthaar pup and I have 3rd pic male there were 5 males and he called me today and said one had an extremely long coat I did not want that for sure but the other two are available one has a broken tail the other is normal I am worried about it being a kinked tail he says it is not.How can I be sure? And with the couple problems the litter has had with the tail and long coat I just wonder if I should pass and lose my deposit or go and check them out. Just trying to get some opinions

Re: Draathar broken tail as a pup I think I would question the breeding if were me and go see the dogs (parents included). Sounds fishy that one has an odd coat that is too long and another one broke his tail? How did that happen if tail was docked? Kind of the whole point in docking tails on versatile breeds is to prevent that kind of thing. It could all be just bad luck on breeders end, and Ive never owned a DD but those are not issues I've come across with good DK breeders.

Re: Draathar broken tail as a pup Why don't you see if the breeder will hold your deposit for the next litter, if so just get it in writing and you're not out any money, many breeders will carry a deposit to a different litter with no fuss if you weren't happy with the pups you saw
